This one-month, e-mail correspondence course will show you how to use the correct style, format and tone required for effective letter writing at work.

Master the art of letter writing, including letters of complaint, letters of introduction, thank you letters, marketing or sales letters, letters about financial issues, customer relationship letters and letters to apologise.

You will learn how to:
  • Plan and prepare your letter
  • Write with the specific reader in mind
  • Write clear and succinct copy
  • Use the right style and tone for the letter
  • Select the appropriate words
  • Structure and format your letter correctly

Students must complete:

  • Two writing assignments, including two full letters.
  • Detailed feedback and assessments will be provided for each assignment by the tutor.

  • Computer skills, e-mail and Internet access required
  • No previous tertiary qualification required
