Testimonials

‘I thoroughly enjoyed the course and realised how much I don’t know about my own language. Donna was a pleasure to work with as a tutor. It was obvious from her responses to my work that she is a genuine wordsmith. The course met all of my objectives. I learned a great deal and had a lot of fun doing so.’ Alistair Johnston, Travel Writing Course

‘I would say the theory of this course is excellent. It was easy to understand – just perfect. My tutor, Donna, was incredible! One of the best instructors of my lifetime. I was very lucky to be her student. I have found my passion.’ Masashiro Chih, Magazine Journalism Course

‘I’ve really enjoyed the course, working on the assignment challenges, learning the skills and watching my article develop. The course has done a great job communicating the relevant components needed to write a successful travel article, as well as the reality of life as a travel writer. My tutor Donna was excellent at analyzing where I needed improvement. Her feedback was clear and helpful, and by following her suggestions, my work improved exponentially. I feel confident that I have completed the course with a saleable article and picked up enough tricks to continue shaping my work into the travel writing style, and hopefully sell articles.’ Will McGuire, Travel Writing Course

‘The course was a very good introduction to the world of Travel Writing. Donna’s encouragement as a tutor and personable feedback made it feel like she was ‘right there’ with me. It was as good as I think you can get with online courses.’ Kirsten Pedersen, Travel Writing Course

‘When I started the course, I had just turned freelance. Now, I have been living from my freelancing for a year. Donna was a very encouraging and flexible tutor, which I appreciate hugely. Her feedback has been prompt and very helpful. I entered the course simply expecting to write a pitchable magazine article (which I have done) but through it I have learned: how to stop thinking too big with article ideas; about my strengths and weaknesses with writing productivity; which parts of magazine journalism give me ‘the fear’; and more. I think these lessons will be invaluable in allowing me to continue as a freelancer.’ Alex Owen-Hill, Magazine Journalism Course
